If you run a planted tank, the canister filter question is really a flow-rate question. Most people searching for the best canister filters for planted tanks want one number: how many gallons per hour do I need so my plants get circulation, my carpet stays flat and my fish are not pinned against the glass? … Read more
The best telescopes for deep sky viewing are 8-inch aperture scopes, and our winner is the Celestron NexStar 8SE. If your budget is tighter, the Sky-Watcher Classic 200 Dobsonian gives you the same 8 inches of light-gathering for a fraction of the money, with star hopping instead of GoTo pointing. Computerized telescopes are good for beginners, and the reason is simple: finding objects is the hard part of astronomy, not looking at them.
